Despite objections from several in attendance, the Ocean City Council on Monday voted 6-1, with Councilwoman Carol Proctor opposed, to permit Christos Sarantis, developer of the Kyma Hotel at 700 S. Philadelphia Ave., to use a sliver of land at neighboring Sunset Park as a fire lane for his project.
In exchange, he agreed to enhance the park’s landscaping and lighting and grant the city an easement to a bayside boardwalk on his property.
